Hadas District – The Living Open-Air Museum (Mezőkövesd)

Mezőkövesd’s old town offers a true journey through time. Walking along the winding streets, you can admire 100-150-year-old traditional houses preserved in their original state. Today, these buildings function as creative workshops, where you can gain insight into the daily work of potters, furniture painters, gingerbread makers, and weavers.

Matyó Museum (Mezőkövesd city center)

Discover the most exquisite pieces of Matyó folk art, recognized as part of UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage. At the exhibition, you can marvel at the famous “hundred-rose” embroideries, the vibrant folk costumes, and delve into the history and traditions of the Matyó culture.

Kisjankó Bori Memorial House (Mezőkövesd)

Kisjankó Bori, known as the “hundred-rose writer woman,” was one of the most famous figures of Matyó embroidery. Her former home now operates as a museum, where visitors can discover her original furniture, personal belongings, and wonderful pattern designs.

Hajdu Ráfis János Mezőgazdasági Gépmúzeum (Mezőkövesd)

Zsóry Liget és Egészségpark (Mezőkövesd)

Barlanglakások és Kaptárkövek (Cserépfalu / Szomolya – 15 km)

De la Motte Kastély (Noszvaj – 17 km)
